Create a Google Review QR Code

Generate a free QR code that opens your Google review form directly. No sign up, works from a Place ID or share link, never expires.

Configure QR Code

A Place ID opens the review dialog directly, in one tap. A share link (g.page, maps.app.goo.gl, or google.com/maps) opens your business profile instead, where the customer still has to tap "Write a review." Find your Place ID with Google’s Place ID Finder tool.

How to make it

  1. Find your Place ID using Google’s Place ID Finder, or copy your Business Profile share link.
  2. Paste it into the field above.
  3. The tool builds the direct review link automatically — you do not need to construct it by hand.
  4. Check the preview, then download the QR code at a size that fits your table tent, receipt, or sign.
  5. Test it yourself: scan the code and confirm it opens the review form for your business, not a different location.

When to use it

Restaurants and cafes

Print the code on a receipt or table tent so a satisfied customer can leave a review before they finish their coffee.

Service businesses

Hand a code to a customer right after a job is done — a haircut, a repair, a delivery — while the experience is still fresh.

Retail checkout counters

Place the code near the register or on a bag insert so shoppers can review the store on their way out.

Follow-up emails and invoices

Include the code (or the link it encodes) in a post-purchase email so customers can leave feedback from their phone without searching for your listing.

Tips

Prefer the Place ID over a share link

A Place ID opens the "write a review" dialog in one step. A share link opens your business profile page, and the customer still has to find and tap the review button themselves — more friction means fewer reviews.

Double check you have the right location

If your business has more than one branch, each location has its own Place ID and its own reviews. Using the wrong one sends feedback to the wrong page.

Never offer an incentive for a review

Google’s policies prohibit paying for reviews or offering discounts in exchange for one. Ask customers to leave honest feedback, and let the QR code remove friction rather than provide incentive.

Test on both iOS and Android before printing in bulk

Both platforms handle a plain HTTPS link the same way, but it is worth confirming the review dialog opens correctly on both before you order a large print run.

Frequently asked questions

Can a QR code hold a Google review?

No. It holds a link to your review form. The customer still writes and submits the review themselves; the code only removes the step of searching for your business on Google first.

Does this QR code expire?

No, as long as your Place ID or business profile stays the same. It is a static code with the review link encoded directly in the image, so it does not depend on this site or a subscription.

Do I need a Google Business Profile account to make this?

You need a claimed Google Business Profile to have a Place ID and reviews in the first place, but this generator itself needs no sign up — you just paste the ID or link you already have and download the code.

How do I find my Place ID?

Search for "Google Place ID Finder" and search for your business by name on the map that comes up; it displays the Place ID for the location you select. Copy that string into the field above.

What is the difference between a Place ID and a share link?

A Place ID builds a direct link to the review-writing dialog. A share link (g.page, maps.app.goo.gl, or a google.com/maps URL) opens your business profile page instead, where the customer must still tap through to leave a review.

Can I use this for a Yelp or Facebook review instead?

Not with this specific input format, but you can generate a plain link QR code for any review page using the regular URL QR code generator — paste the direct link to your Yelp or Facebook review form there instead.
