Tips

Link to a specific video when you have one in mind
A channel link is a good general-purpose code, but if you are promoting one video, tutorial, or event recap, link to that video directly so viewers land on the right content. Copy the link from the Share button (youtu.be/ID) rather than the address bar, which may carry a playlist ID.
Tracking parameters make the code denser, so this tool removes them
Links shared from the YouTube app often include a "si" tracking parameter and sometimes a playlist ID. The tool rebuilds a watch link from the video ID alone, so everything else in the query goes with them and the pattern stays simpler for it. Worth knowing if you copied the link with "start at current time" ticked: that start time is a parameter too, and it does not survive.
The YouTube red is the default, but you can change it
The tool starts with a slightly darkened YouTube red (#EB0000) as the foreground color. Pure #FF0000 falls just under the contrast the scannability meter looks for, and one shade down clears it without reading as a different color. Swap it out in the color picker if you want to match your own branding instead.
Check the video’s visibility before printing
If a video is set to private or unlisted with restricted sharing, some viewers may not be able to open it even with a correct link. Confirm the video’s visibility is set the way you expect before you print the code.
