Spotify appends a tracking identifier to shared links that is not required for playback. Removing it keeps the QR code pattern simpler and the link itself unchanged in what it opens.
The tool starts with a slightly darker shade of Spotify’s green (#178C40) as the foreground color, since it is instantly recognizable but Spotify’s exact brand green does not have enough contrast against a white background to scan reliably.
